PCS moves run on fixed dates

Military relocations do not flex. Book as soon as orders are in hand, and ask about guaranteed pickup dates rather than windows. Bring a copy of your orders — many transporters offer military discounts and most will prioritize a hard report date.

Delivery when you are not there

You can authorize someone else to accept the vehicle. Provide their name and number at booking, make sure they have a set of keys, and brief them on how to inspect against the bill of lading. Their signature is legally binding, so choose carefully.

Student moves cluster around the calendar

August and May are the busiest weeks of the academic year for auto transport, and campus-area rates rise accordingly. Booking three weeks ahead of move-in avoids both the price spike and the risk of no carrier being available.

Campus and base delivery logistics

Dormitory areas and secured bases rarely allow a 75-foot carrier through the gate. Plan on a nearby shopping center or approved lot for the handoff, and confirm base access requirements with the transport office before pickup day.
