Car carrier transporting vehicles on a Florida highway

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions our Coral Springs coordinators answer most often.

☎ (954) 228-8982
How much does it cost to ship a car from Coral Springs?

Most standard sedans on an open carrier run about $600–$900 to the Northeast, $900–$1,300 to the Midwest and $1,200–$1,700 coast to coast. Vehicle size, transport type, season and route density all move the number, which is why we quote your specific route rather than publishing a flat rate.

How far in advance should I book?

Two to three weeks is ideal, especially October through December and March through May when Florida's snowbird traffic peaks. We can often cover a Coral Springs pickup within 24 to 48 hours with expedited service.

Is my vehicle insured during transport?

Yes. Every carrier we dispatch carries active FMCSA authority and cargo insurance, and we can send you the certificate before your car is loaded.

Can I leave personal items in the car?

Carriers are licensed to move vehicles, not household goods, and personal items are not covered by cargo insurance. We ask that the vehicle be emptied before pickup.

Do you ship non-running vehicles?

We do. Inoperable transport requires a winch-equipped carrier and carries a surcharge, typically $150–$350, as long as the vehicle rolls, steers and brakes.

Do I need to be there for pickup and delivery?

Someone at least 18 years old must be present to hand over keys, walk the vehicle with the driver and sign the bill of lading. It does not have to be you — a friend, family member or property manager can be authorized in advance.

How do I pay?

Most customers pay a portion at dispatch by card and the balance to the driver at delivery by cash, certified funds or card, depending on the carrier. We confirm the exact terms before you book.

Can you ship to a terminal instead of my door?

Yes, though door-to-door is usually the better value once terminal storage fees are counted. If a terminal handoff fits your schedule better, we will price both.

What if my street cannot fit a car carrier?

The driver will call ahead and arrange a nearby meeting point, typically a shopping center or wide lot within a few minutes of your address. This is routine in gated communities and condo areas.

Is enclosed transport worth the extra cost?

For vehicles worth roughly $70,000 or more, recently restored or repainted cars, and anything with under five inches of ground clearance, yes. For a daily driver, open transport is the sensible default.

What happens if the delivery is late?

Weather, mechanical issues and DOT inspections can push a delivery. We keep you updated in real time and will tell you honestly when a date has slipped rather than letting you wonder.

Do you handle interstate and cross-country moves?

Yes. Roughly two-thirds of our volume is long-haul between South Florida and the Northeast, Midwest, Texas and the West Coast.

Can I track my vehicle?

You get the driver's direct number once dispatched, plus status updates from your coordinator. Most customers find a direct line to the driver more useful than a tracking dot.

What size vehicles can you transport?

Standard cars, SUVs, pickups including duallys and lifted trucks, vans, motorcycles, trailered boats and RVs. Oversize loads are quoted by measured dimensions.

Do you offer discounts?

We offer military, senior, student and multi-vehicle discounts. Mention it when you call and we will apply what fits.
